A certification for one person inside your organization

Certified Nonprofit AI Trainer

Nonprofit AI Education, Safety, and Organizational Alignment.

Most nonprofits already use AI, mostly one person at a time, with no shared rules. Nearly half have no policy for it. Among the organizations that have not started, the reason named most often is a lack of training. This program prepares someone already inside your organization to close that gap. They become the person who teaches colleagues well, keeps the people you serve safe, and keeps every use of AI pointed at your mission.

Who it is for

The colleague everyone already asks

A staff member, a director, a board member or a committed volunteer who is curious about AI, trusted by colleagues, and willing to give it a few hours a week for ninety days. They do not need technical training. They need to care about the people your organization serves, and to be the kind of person colleagues come to with questions.

It suits any nonprofit or mission-driven group: charities, community and faith organizations, schools and parent groups, associations, and international organizations working across several countries.

What your trainer will be able to do

Three tracks, one role

Education

  • Use Claude with the four habits of AI fluency: choosing what to hand over, asking clearly, judging what comes back, and taking responsibility for what goes out.
  • Find out where colleagues' hours go and what worries them, including those who would rather keep AI out.
  • Teach any colleague a real task of their own in fifteen minutes, so they can do it alone the next day.
  • Run a weekly open hour and keep a shared library of instructions that work for your organization.

Safety

  • Sort your organization's information into what can go into AI, what needs care, and what never goes in, and know which laws apply to you.
  • Set up a shared organizational account and workspaces, with access managed and training settings handled correctly.
  • Check every fact before it leaves the building, and keep every decision about a person in human hands.
  • Respond calmly and plainly when something goes wrong, so the next mistake is reported early.

Organizational Alignment

  • Test every proposed use against your mission with three questions anyone on the team can ask.
  • Write a one-page AI policy in your colleagues' own words, approved by your director and reported to your board.
  • Build a short assessment that lets the people you serve tell you what they need.
  • Design a program with Claude from what the people you serve said, and test it with them before it launches.
  • Give the whole team a monthly rhythm for using Claude to improve the program, so improvement continues without the trainer.
  • Report the change at ninety days in counts, in colleagues' words, and in what the people you serve experienced.

How it runs

Ninety days of practice, inside your own organization

Made for youYour trainer enters your website, and the course tailors every instruction and module to your organization.
15 modulesAbout forty-five minutes each, online, at your trainer's own pace.
Practice at workListening conversations, teaching sessions, and an incident drill with real colleagues.
Scenario questionsAt the end of each track, with 80% needed to certify.
Capstone reviewTheir playbook, evidence and policy, reviewed with Brian in a forty-five minute conversation.

Every module ends with something your trainer writes for your organization. By the end they hold a complete Trainer's Playbook: their role, your rules, your account setup, your teaching plans, your response steps, your mission test, your assessment, and your ninety-day report.

The certificate is issued by The Meliorist Group after review. It is not issued or endorsed by Anthropic. Brian Oney holds two certificates from Anthropic Academy: AI Fluency: Framework and Foundations and AI Fluency for Educators.
